Question: What is one way to make your computer really fast all the time?
Answer: Have someone partition your hard drive and isolate your OS from everything else
There are many ways to increase the speed of your boot up, shut down and the actual runnig of the programs but this one is a very little know way that brings powerful results.
The next time you have to format your Hard Drive, partition out the drive. If you are a regular Joe and just use the internet for email and surfing the web you can even get by with just a 35gig drive partition. If you run software several times a day like PhotoShop you should make the C Drive at least 45gig partition but there is no need to be any bigger than 60gig, and then make the rest of the drive 50gig partitions. If you have a really large drive, this will result in many drives showing up under my computer, but that is ok.
When your computer boots up and shuts down it will only go to the C Drive and that will increase the speed of everything dramatically.
